The Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Compact - #NECompact - scores a first. This is history making as the NECompact sent its first Canadian Hand Crew to a US wildfire which was being managed by a NECompact Type2 Incident Management Team.
The NFFPC's Type 2 IMT had been dispatched to the Last Inch Fire some weeks prior to the arrival of the Québecoise. Québec's crew arrived in time to receive assignment duties from fellow Compact colleagues. The IMT's Type2 crew (already extended more time to continue management duties) assignment was later downsized and replaced by a local Type3 Team from the Last Inch Fire area.
